ONGOING R&D PROGRAMES

• Study & development of soil modification or stabilization techniques for various types of soil used in construction activities in and around Jorhat and in some selected areas of Assam (In-house Project)
• Design & development of transitory houses for disaster vulnerable rural sectors in the NE region (Network Project jointly with General Engineering Group)
• Performance evaluation of River Brahmaputra bed materials for use in construction of road embankment, subgrade & sub-base. (GPP funded by DST, Govt. of India)
• Development of methodology for manufacturing modular bricks from River Brahmaputra bed materials.(GPP funded by DST, Govt. of India)
• Seismic vulnerability assessment of major cities in NE India. (GPP funded by NEC, Shillong jointly with Geo Sciences & Technology Division)
