Marsilea quadrifolia L.

It is commonly known as Sushni saag and belongs to the Marsileaceae family. It is a leafy vegetable. Quercetin, β-sitosterol, Pentachlorophenylacetate are some of the bioactive compounds present in it. Methanol extract of dried leaves of M. quadrifolia (200 and 400 mg/kg) inhibits paw edema in albino rats both in Carrageenan and Histamine induced groups.
