Leucas aspera (Willd.) Link

It is commonly known as Chota halkkusa and belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It is a leafy vegetable. Leucasperone A-C, Leucasperosides A-C are the important bioactive compounds found in it. Ethanolic extract in dose dependent manner seemed to exhibit a considerable decline of CRP, TNF-α and IL-2 levels in Arthritic rats.
