Eruca vesicaria (L.) Cav.

It is commonly known as Tara Mira and belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is a leafy vegetable. (E)-b-damascone, Erucin, Hexahydrofarsylacetone, α-longipinene and β-elemene are the bioactive compounds witnessed in it. There was a restoration of interleukin 10 expression in NSC-34 cells in response to pre‑treatment with seed extract. Moreover, seed extract also induced anti‑inflammatory and neuroprotective effects in NSC-34 motor neurons by inhibiting COX2, TLR4, NLRP3 inflammasome complement signalling pathways.
