Brassica juncea (L.) Czern.

It is commonly known as Sarson and belongs to the Brassicaceae family. It is consumed as leafy vegetable. It is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, Manganese and Folate. Vanillin, p-Hydroxybenzaldehyde, Gallic acid are some of its notable bioactive markers. B. juncea regulatory protein (BJNPR1) inhibits NF-κB activation.
