  1.  Complete Weaving Facility with mechanical loom
    Name of the Technology Weaving using Jacquard Loom
    About the Technology (in brief) Weaving is a process of manufacturing of fabrics and it is one of the oldest manufacturing processes in the world. Basically there are three processes/ technologies used for weaving viz. hand loom, hand loom with jacquard machine or jacquard loom and power loom. In the present project we are introducing the handloom with jacquard machine. It increases the productivity 3-4 times compared to the basic handloom. The jacquard machine uses the pre-designed punched cards to transfer the design in to the fabrics by guiding the threads as per the card sequences. We have also introduced the card punching machine which manufactured the punch cards used in the jacquard machine. A CAD /CAM software for weaving named “ArahWeave” is used in our center to create the design and communicate the design to the card punching machine for producing the punch cards. This technology will be very much helpful for the weavers to economically produced different weaving products and become commercially self sustainable.
