Automatic Colour Measurement System
Instrument Details:
Make & Model: Konica Minolta, Japan / CM-5

Description:
The bench-top spectrophotometer is an easy-to-use, colour measurement instrument with integrated keyboard and colour LCD screen, having the ability to automatically calibrate on every start-up, capable of measuring a variety of samples of different sizes and forms with in-built internal calibration using a standard.

Specification:

Wavelength range: Visible (360 nm - 740 nm)
Light source: Pulsed Xenon Lamp
Observer: 2° or 10° Standard Observer
Detector: Dual 40-element silicon photodiode arrays

Working Principle
The CM-5 is a very versatile bench-top spectrophotometer to measure the colour of solid, pasty granular and liquid samples either in reflectance or transmittance. The top-port concept, offering various aperture sizes, allows measurement of almost any kind of samples. This scanning spectrophotometer with wavelength range from 360 nm to 740 nm. It is used for design sample port facing up. The sample is illuminated by pulsed xenon lamp and reflected light is collected by 15-station fibre optic ring.
