Musa cylindrica
This species is sai to be similar to Musa acuminata and Musa thomsonii, but the difference is in having a cylindrical female bud, female bracts brown-purple with yellow apex. It si distributed in Umkiang, Jaintia Hills District, Megalaya of NE India. It grows as undergrowth and also in forest slopes. The fruits bear many health benefacting nutrients and metabolites. |
